Daddy, Daddy please don’t leave I want you to stay with us. I need you here to help me take care of mommy. It tore me up to see Jayce crying, ever since his health scare this little guy has become such a mature young man. Telling me how much he loves his mother and will be taking care of her. He even mentioned that he picked out a sister to come from heaven to join our family. This made me think of the old saying from the ole country that my grandmother used to say that children can see what we can’t.

I reassured him that I would be back soon for him and his mother to come to Chicago after my trip.

“Jason, when are you going on your trip to Columbia? Will you please send me the information of your trip since it’s a third world country? We will be in Chicago at your place when you arrive back.”

“I love you Jessica you’re such a beautiful strong woman. When I return from this trip, I can’t wait to make you my wife.”

I kissed my family, told them how much I loved them and hurried to catch my plane.

Once I got back in Chicago the weather had done a complete 180. It was colder than when I left, hopefully this weather will change back to a normal temperature or at least in between the north pole and equator soon.

“Good Morning, Washington how was your weekend?”

“Oh, it was great how about you, was your trip good? Did you get turned down gently?”

“No, she said,'' Yes, you know I am the man.” I said with a smile. He knew Jessica is the love of my life, but my goals had to be met before I could ask him to marry me. Unlike him I wasn’t financially fit to have a puppy. So, I wanted to secure my career at least that I could afford to provide for her and Jayce.

Washington was already married. He married his high school sweetheart. I always tease him it was an arranged marriage.

“So, Washington have you considered what we should do with the Cruz girls?” This matter would need to be handled before we leave for the trip. I set up a mediator to come in if one is needed.

“St. John, man that was so crazy I had never had or heard of anything like this before. Did you contact their father like I suggested?”

“Yes, Man I sure did. I contacted both sets of parents, to my surprise they both already knew that they girl and boys were trying to bring them together.”

Me and Washington agreed to meet with the parents and then bring in the children. Turns out that when I met with them, they were considered to join forces since they offered to separate products. That was a win for all parties involved. Now the Gomez and Cruz families are partners.

During the remainder of the week, I was busy and I was ready to leave for the trip.
